St. Terrible will headline the Sun Valley Museum of Art’s free First Friday event on Oct. 3.
Zach Herbert, a Boise musician, storyteller and performance artist, will bring his experimental folk, ambient minimalism and improvisation to the museum with a free performance at 5 p.m. at the museum at Fifth and Washington streets in Ketchum.
He will also perform with Connor Wade and Mark Oliver as part of the Sheep Bridge Jumpers, an indie folk band from the Wood River Valley, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at The Argyros.
First Friday started a few months ago as a way for locals to listen to music while perusing the art exhibitions at The Museum.
WHAT’S MORE:
Come Tuesday, the museum will feature a conversation with artist Arleene Correa Valencia and Ali Gass. Correa Valencia has created work out of Amate paper, textiles and threads in her bid to explore migration, family and visibility in the “Mending Across Borders & Boundaries” exhibition currently displayed at the Sun Valley Museum of Art.
Gass, who will be in conversation with her, is director of the Institute of Contemporary Art in San Francisco.
The free talk will begin at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at The Museum.
