Shiver me timbers. Story Pirates is coming to town.

Called “a cross between School House Rock and Monty Python,” the high-energy, family-friendly show will bring The Amazing Adventure Tour to Ketchum at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, at The Argyros in Ketchum.

The play is designed to unleash children’s creative and imaginative spirits.

“This show is a perfect outing for families looking for an evening of genuine laughter and interactive art that celebrates the power of imagination,” said an Argyros representative.

Story Pirates is an award-winning kids and family podcast founded in 2003 and based in New York and Los Angeles. It takes stories submitted by kids and turns them into sketch comedy using outlandish costumes, puppets and short films, sometimes with celebrity guests who have included Julie Andrews and Lin-Manuel Miranda.

The kid-written work is performed on stage, in school and on video.

Monday’s performance will include fan-favorite songs from the podcast and brand-new stories written by kids in the audience, which are brought to life on the spot.

Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for kids, available at https://ci.ovationtix.com/35937/production/1241022?performanceId=11647173.
