Jean Enersen has been gorging on this fall colors up and down the Wood River Valley, as have so many this year.

Her goal: To capture them before the golden leaves of autumn give way to the snow of a Sun Valley ski season which, believe it or not, is now less than 50 days away.

This scene with Baldy in the background is Jean Enersen’s favorite.

Enersen says her favorite leaf peeping site is one out on the Lake Creek trails that boasts Griffin Butte and Baldy in the background.

“My picture features thick puffs of fog in between, suggesting snow can’t be too far away,”  she added.

No matter where you find your favorite leaf peeping spot, catch it now before it fades away.
