The uncharacteristic October snowstorm that roared across the West created havoc in many places, including Wyoming which saw 18 inches of snow and 60 mile per hour winds and Yellowstone National Park, where some roads were closed temporarily because so many cars were sliding off the roads.


Here in Sun Valley, it simply made for some fantastic photo opportunities of golden autumn leaves juxtaposed against brilliant white snow on mountain peaks. Among them, this picture of Baldy shot by Sun Valley resident Loren Wood.
