Twisted pine trees and whirling fire. They’re part of the “Vanishing Point” exhibition that is debuting from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29, at OCHI Gallery in Ketchum.

An Artists’ Reception held at 119 Lewis St. will feature works by artists Cooper Cox and Emma Webster, both of whom will be present at the Artists’ Party. “Vanishing Point” also features works by Dike Blair, Vija Celmins, Beaux Mendes and Bryan Morello.

“Vanishing Point” traces the moment when perception falters and the landscape turns inward. Horizons blur, perspectives invert and the world seems to fold in on itself, reconfiguring into something alien yet achingly familiar.

The works in the exhibition inhabit that in-between, shimmering between material and mirage.

Cooper Cox was born in Sun Valley and now lives and works in both Sun Valley and Brooklyn, N.Y. He’s known for his elaborate oil paint techniques that emphasize texture and his deep appreciation for nature influenced by growing up in Sun Valley with its endless mountains, old-growth forests and vast skies.

Emma Webster is a Los Angeles-based artist whose landscape paintings teleport viewers into the otherworldly.

Bryan Morello’s “Untitled”

The gallery is also featuring Fay Ray’s “Metallic Sea.” Ray is a Los Angeles-based artist who explores the fetishization of objects through large-scale metallic sculptures and monochromatic photomontages as she alludes to the history of Surrealism.

She compiles cast aluminum objects, bored volcanic rocks, wire, chain, even crushed beer cans into suspended sculptural masses. She borrows from the symbolism of traditional religious relics for some pieces. Her the aluminum references her family’s multi-generational trucking business which ties agricultural producers in California, Arizona and Northern Mexico. Crosses from altars and mobiles honor her cultural heritage and modernist aesthetics.

“Fay Ray’s “Metallic Sea” will run through Jan. 23, 2026. “Vanishing Point” will run through Jan. 30.
