Those out for a Gallery Walk Friday night found themselves in the middle of a music mash-up, as well.

Members of Caritas Chorale joined hands with high school students to sing Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” at Gail Severn Gallery.

Singers sang amidst the backdrop of art as appreciative fans caught the Flash Mob on their video phones.

High school students were among those who took part.

Caritas Chorale member Richard Stahl said singers practiced for three hours at The Spot before heading out to make music.

“I just thought it would be a fun song to sing,” said Joel Bejot, who co-directs the Caritas Chorale with R.L. Rowsey.

The Caritas Chorale will begin rehearsals in mid-March for its Spring Concerts on May 30-31.

One need not have experience to join in the music making, Stahl said. Bejot and Rowsey will teach singers all they need to know.
