Seattle seafood expert Cynthia Nims will share complimentary appetizers while discussing her latest book “Essential Shellfish” during a free Open House from 4 to 6 p.m. tonight—Thursday, Feb. 19—at the Sun Valley Culinary Institute in Ketchum.


Nims’ last three cookbooks, “Oysters, Crab and Shellfish,” have been released as a special box set titled “The Essential Shellfish Collection.”


Nims will discuss how she researched and created recipes during the Open House. And she will share some of the concoctions from those recipes during the Open House.
