The Idaho Shakespeare Youth Company will weave some magic onstage this coming Friday.

And you can see your friends and neighbors in skits that haven’t even been imagined yet on Sunday.

But you’ll have to wait another three weeks to find out what The Liberty Theatre has planned for its upcoming 2026-27 season—and what its new name and vision will be.

***Idaho Shakespeare Youth Company will present a free show—“The Keepers of the Wood”—at 6 p.m. Friday, April 3, at The Liberty Theater in Hailey.

The play by Erin Marie Chancer, involves two siblings lost in an enchanted forest who encounter riddles and quirky creatures on their way home. It’s recommended for ages kindergarten through sixth grade, but it’s open to all.

***On Sunday, April 5, Wood River Valley residents taking part in the annual 24-Hour Theatre Festival will present their 10-minute skits on stage.

Small groups, each led by a theatre pro, will meet together Saturday night to team up to write, rehearse and perform brand-new plays from scratch while incorporating a couple required elements into their skits.

They’ll have 24 hours to bring their ideas to stage and—who knows?—maybe the Easter Bunny wlll even pop up, it being Easter.

Tickets are available at https://tltctix.ludus.com/index.php.

***On Sunday, April 26, The Liberty Theatre Company will unveil its new name, its new vision and its 2026-27 season lineup. The event starts at 4:30 p.m. and it’s free to the public.
