The Blaine County Historical Museum will host its 23rd annual Heritage Court Coronation Ceremony on Sunday, June 14.

The ceremony will start at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Wood River High School Performing Arts Theater at the Community Campus in Hailey.

The Heritage Court will crown Thelma Cameron of Bellevue, Amy Federko of Ketchum, Gail Peterson of Carey and Vicki Smith of Hailey. The women were nominated to the court for the various ways they have contributed to the fabric of the Wood River Valley.

“Each year, Heritage Court honors remarkable women from our communities whose lives, service, character and dedication have helped shape the spirit and history of the Wood River Valley,” said Rebecca Cox, the museum’s executive director. “These women represent generations of quiet leadership, volunteerism, family devotion, western heritage, and community pride that continue to define Blaine County today.”

There will be entertainment during the ceremony, and a reception will follow.

Cox said the Heritage Court has become one of the museum’s most meaningful traditions, bringing together friends, families, neighbors, and community members to celebrate the women whose stories are woven into the history of our valley.

“We strongly encourage the community to attend and help us fill the auditorium in honor of these outstanding women and the legacy they represent,” she added.
