With all the chaos happening around us, we thought we’d leave you on a happier note—a reminder of why we live here, fires and all.

Cindy Nelson captured this picture of a moose over Labor Day Weekend on the Big Wood River just west of the Lake Creek Trailhead.

“This gorgeous bull was such a beautiful sight!” she said.

The moose has apparently been making the rounds as David Hitchin snapped a nice picture of a moose across the highway outside his house a couple days earlier.
