This past week a half-dozen bakers got together to bake more than a baker’s dozen cookies. In fact, they baked 300 large energy cookies using a nutritious recipe concocted by The Grain School at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs. The bakers—members of the Community Loaves organization—bake cookies and Honey Oat Bread Loaves every couple weeks in the comfort of their own kitchens to provide sustenance for school kids and clients of The Hunger Coalition.
