Learn about the Big Wood River and the challenges it faces tonight during a River Walk.

Project Big Wood will take participants on a fun walk beginning at 5 tonight—Thursday, Sept. 26—at Rotary Park in Ketchum.

The organization’s Board President Kenny Van Zant and Executive Director Amanda Bauman will discuss challenges, such as population growth, climate change, development and limited river data. And they will present ways to take action with the help of fun activities and hands-on learning.

Participants will learn about the organization’s four pillars: Data collection, education, advocacy and earthworks. Refreshments will be served.

“The Big Wood River needs our help. It is the lifeblood of our valley and its delicate ecosystem is threatened," said Bauman. “This event is a chance for folks to connect with our mission, learn about the work being done and understand how they can help mend the river alongside Project Big Wood.”
