Are these “senior moments?” Or, is this dementia?

That’s the subject of a panel discussion that will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, at Hailey Town Center West.

A panel of family caregivers will share their personal stories and understanding of living with a loved one who has been diagnosed with dementia. All are members of a support group and have a wealth of information to share.

They will be facilitated by geriatric psychologist Carol Stephens.

Those in attendance will learn about the 10 warning signs of dementia, how to identify changes in memory, thinking, personality and behavior; risk factors for dementia; reversible versus irreversible symptoms and the differences between dementia and Alzheimer’s.

“We are motivated to help this community with what we believe, is becoming a huge issue,” said Katie Powell.
