A few tickets remain for Laurie Santos’ talk on “The Science of Happiness: How to Live a Happier and More Fulfilling Life.”

Santos, host of the podcast “The Happiness Lab,” will speak on Tuesday, Aug. 5, as part of St. Luke’s Wood River Foundation’s annual Health and Well-Being Speaker Series. The free talk will start at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of the Big Wood in Ketchum.

Santos, who spoke at the Health and Well-Being Speaker Series a few years ago, is professor of psychology and cognitive science at Yale University. Her course “Psychology and the Good Life,” is the most popular class at Yale in more than 316.

Santos will discuss the latest science about how to be happier, and less stressed. She contends that humans are wrong about what makes us happy and often do the exact opposite of what they should to make their lives better.
