Blaine County School District Board of Trustees Chair Lara Stone has been named the 2025 Board Chair of the Year by the Idaho School Boards Association (ISBA). 

The award recognizes one school board chair in the state each year for exceptional leadership and service.

Stone was formally recognized during the ISBA’s annual conference the evening of Thursday, Nov. 13.

“As board chair, Lara has provided visionary leadership, encouraged collaboration and helped provide the best learning experience possible for our students,” said Superintendent Jim Foudy. “We are thrilled that the ISBA has acknowledged her accomplishments at the state level and look forward to celebrating this well-deserved honor together with our community.”

In her role as chair, Stone has helped guide the board through key initiatives, promoted transparent communication with community members and fostered a culture of student-centered decision-making.
