The Wood River Land Trust is just $20,000 from the $16 million it needs to purchase the Hailey Hot Springs property in Croy Canyon.

And several of its members are matching donations between now and Dec. 2, which happens to be Giving Tuesday.

The Tuesday after Thanksgiving was founded as an international day of giving at the beginning of the Christmas season to unleash the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.

Here in the Wood River Valley, Becky Follo and Tom Bentley, Gail Landis and Victor Bernstein and David Ordal will double all donations up to $20,000 through Tuesday, Dec. 2, with the goal of pushing the Hailey Hot Springs project over the finish line.

“We are so close,” said Roland Wolfrom, of the effort to protect the 2,700-acre property. The purchase preserves the property for wildlife and keeps current hiking and biking trails intact.

The deadline to purchase the property is Dec. 31, 2025.
