Want the scuttlebutt on local option taxes and the revamped Ketchum Police department?

The City of Ketchum is throwing a free Ketchum Coffee Talk from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 2. The city relaunched the Coffee Talks at the Sun Valley Museum of Art last month.

Tuesday’s will be at FRX at 650 N. Main St. across from Backwoods Mountain Sports. There’ll be coffee and snacks.

The talks are designed to give residents, business owners and community members a chance to connect directly with city staff and leadership, receive updates on current and upcoming city projects and ask questions.

“Coffee Talks give us a chance to have real conversations with residents about the issues shaping Ketchum today,” said Ketchum Mayor Pete Prekeges. “In June, we’ll be sharing updates on Local Option Taxes, the transition to Ketchum Police and other important community topics, while creating space for people to ask questions and provide feedback directly to city leadership.”

Additional Coffee Talks will continue throughout the year at locations around Ketchum

FRX is known for $1 beers and breakfast burritos. It also fried batches of chicken tenders that were crispy on the outside and deliciously moist on the inside for a block party hosted by Windermere Realty on Friday.

Employees at Black Tie Ski and Bike Rental tuned 117 bicycles for customers free of charge, thanks to Logan Frederickson, the owner of Windermere Sun Valley, in what was Windermere’s kickoff to the summer season.
