The BC South Fire Protection District is hosting an open house at Station 4 in West Magic on Saturday, June 20th. The event will be held at 880 West Magic Road, offering the public an opportunity to tour the station, meet local firefighters, and learn more about joining the department.

Department personnel will be available to answer questions, provide demonstrations, and share information about training and service opportunities. Light refreshments will be provided, and all ages are welcome.

Formed in 2024, the BC South Fire Protection District was established when the West Magic Fire District consolidated with the Wood River Fire Protection District.

Today, the district provides fire protection services across approximately 150 square miles and emergency medical services (EMS) across 1,950 square miles. Its primary mission includes public safety and education, fire prevention, fire suppression, EMS response, and technical rescue.
