Cubby West Spain grew up painting the nature she saw outside her home in Atlanta, Ga. Now living in Ketchum, she is painting the mountain landscapes surrounding Sun Valley. You can see many of them at  Hemmings Gallery, 340 Walnut Ave. The gallery is currently showing an exhibition of Spain’s work called “Backyard Prophecies.” And you’ll have no trouble identifying the pieces.
