The BCRD is kicking off its silver anniversary year today with Ski and Snowshoe Free Day on the North Valley Trails and complimentary French fries, beer and hot chocolate at Galena lodge.

Eye on Sun Valley is celebrating with a video featuring Jenny Busdon recounting the story of how Galena Lodge was saved from the wrecking ball.

You don’t have to go all the way to Galena to ski, though. Lake Creek trails at Ketchum’s north end got their first groom with a snow cat on Thursday—and conditions were sweet! And the BCRD rolled out the trails at Quigley Nordic on Friday in the event that more snow next week will allow grooming.
