Go along on a magical, whimsical journey via Monty Python’s “Spamalot Young@Part!” Wednesday through Saturday at the Sun Valley Community School Theatre.
St. Thomas Playhouse will present its take on the 2005 Broadway production that won three Tony Awards, including Best Musical, at 7 p.m. July 23-26. Tickets are on sale at https://ci.ovationtix.com/35974/production/1246433.
High school and middle school students will present the tale, which was lovingly ripped off from the classic film “Monty Python and the Holy Grail.” It retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table amidst a bevy of show girls, cows, killer rabbits and French people.
It bursts with absurd humor, zany characters and unforgettable songs, including “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life.”
The 60-minute show under the direction of Justin Packard features music director John Mauldin, choreographer Megan Mahoney, costume designer Annabel Webster and set designer Sara Gorby.
The cast features Niko Smith as Arthur, Wyatt Root as Patsy, Van Flandro as Galahad, Thomas Roberts as Robin and many others.
