STORY AND PHOTO BY KAREN BOSSICK

It’s time to get your hands dirty at Boulder Mountain Clayworks.

The nonprofit pottery organization is holding its annual bowl making Bowl A Thon from l10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 12. Young and old are invited to come out and make bowls for the 2025 Empty Bowls Fundraiser that will be held in January.

The bowls will provide the vessel for soup and salad that may be purchased to benefit organizations helping those in need of assistance at January’s popular event.

There is no charge to build a bowl. Clay will be provided. Experienced potters may use the wheels; others will have the chance to build bowls by hand—something that requires no previous experience.
