STORY AND PHOTO BY KAREN BOSSICK

It’ll be “A Not So Silent Night” when the Church of the Bigwood presents a Christmas musical for the community.

The free concert will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, at the church at 100 Saddle Road across from the Wood River YMCA in Ketchum. It’ll feature a 12-piece band performing contemporary and classic Christmas tunes in a not-so-silent way.

The concert is being held in the spirit of “The Promise” and “A Light Still Shine,” which the church staged in the past, said George Kirk.

“This will be the first year we’ve gotten a community Christmas concert together in maybe 10 years, other than the traditional Christmas Eve service,” he added.

Songs will include “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Jingle Bells,” “God With Us” and “God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman.”

“It’ll be rockin!” Kirk added.
