The High Mountain Heard Band will play their brand of “folky puny honky tonky slushy rock n’ roll” when the City of Hailey throws a Spring Street Party on Friday.
The party will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 25, on Hailey’s 1st Avenue between Bullion and Carbonate streets.
A DJ will get the party started before handing it over to the band, which features valley musicians Luc McCann on lead vocals and rhythm guitar; Chase Cleveland on bass; C. Gordon Knight on drums and James Tautkus on lead guitar.
Food trucks will offer KB’s burritos and pizza, and Sawtooth Brewery will have beer and other drinks on hand, along with their hot dog cart, said Hailey City Council’s Kaz Thea. A few nonprofits will set up information tables, and there’ll be a kid corner with bikes, chalk for sidewalk art, corn hole and valet bike parking.
Event sponsors include The Chamber, Jane’s Artifacts, The Liberty Theater, MVP Vacation Homes, Wood River Land Trust, First Lite, YaYa’s, Sun Valley Mustard, The Trailhead Bicycles and Sawtooth Brewery.
And don’t go away: Friday’s street party will give away to Saturday’s Earth Fest, which will take place in downtown Hailey from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
