Sun Valley Resort will crank up its gondola for lift-assisted hiking and Roundhouse dining on June 27, and it will kick off the Sun Valley on Ice shows on July 2. And the Sun Valley River run concert series will return on July 23.

The resort will also host two performances by the National Ballet of Canada June 28-29, the Sun Valley Music Festival’s free concerts July 28-Aug. 21 and the Sun Valley Writers’ Conference July 19-21.

The summer lineup at Sun Valley:

Friday, June 27th—Gondola Opens for the Summer Season

Enjoy lift access on Bald Mountain for scenic tours, hiking, and lunch at Roundhouse

Lift access will be open on Bald Mountain from Wednesday to Sunday, 9am-4pm (closed on Monday, Tuesday). Roundhouse will be open Wednesday - Sunday from 11 am-3 pm

Lift-access to mountain bike trails opens Tuesday, July 1st.

Saturday, June 14th at 7:30 PM—Summer Stand-up Comedy Showcase

Sun Valley Resort proudly presents the second annual Summer Stand-Up Comedy Showcase at the Sun Valley Pavilion! Join us for an unforgettable summer evening of laughter under the stars featuring Dana Daniels, special guest Steve Soelberg, and MC Keith Barany.

Yoga at River Run--Saturdays throughout the summer, 9:00 - 10:00 AM: June 28th, July 5th, July 19th, July 26th, August 2nd, August 9th, August 16th, August 23rd, August 30th, September 6th

All levels are welcome to these free one-hour classes held outdoors at River Run Plaza on Saturdays throughout the summer.

Space is limited, please arrive at 8:45am to register. Please bring your own mat and water, and we kindly ask that you leave your furry friends at home.

Sun Valley on Ice--Multiple Dates throughout the summer: July 2nd, July 19th, July 26th, August 9th, August 23rd, August 30th

There's ice skating, and then there's Sun Valley on Ice. This summer, experience original ice shows featuring world-class athletes, rising stars, and electrifying soundtracks.

Thursday, July 3rd - Friday, 4th—Baldy Bluebird Festival

Set against the stunning backdrop of Bald Mountain and the Big Wood River, the festival will return for a second year, featuring a stacked lineup of musical talent, including Jeremy McComb, Corey Kent, Ian Munsick, Jeff Crosby, The Castellows, and Kip Moore.

The Baldy Bluebird lodging package is now available. Guests who book a minimum four-night stay from June 30 - July 6, 2025 can enjoy luxurious accommodations while receiving two General Admissions tickets for each day of the Baldy Bluebird Music Festival.

Sun Valley River Run Series

Multiple Dates throughout the summer from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. July 23rd, July 30th, August 6th, August 13th, August 20th, August 27th, September 3rd

Enjoy a vibrant atmosphere at the River Run base area, with live music, an outdoor bar, food trucks, ice cream, shopping, lawn games, and more!

Chairlift service will run until 7pm on Summer Series evenings, giving you three bonus hours of lift-assisted mountain biking and hiking adventures.

Each Summer Series event spotlights a featured brand partner and supports a local non-profit organization through a portion of all daily lift ticket proceeds.

Hit the trails or simply enjoy the view with discounted evening lift tickets for bikers ($29) and foot-traffic passengers ($19), or purchase a Summer Series Season Pass ($120) for lift access during all seven events across July, August & September.

Labor Day in Sun Valley

Saturday, August 30th – Monday, September 1st

Explore entertainment options, including a performance of Sun Valley on Ice and a concert from a surprise performer at the Sun Valley Pavilion on Sunday, Aug. 31. Details to come!

Start your day off with mountain-side yoga and enjoy afternoons hiking and biking on Bald Mountain, or horseback riding from Sun Valley’s stables. Or, play 45 holes of golf at Sun Valley’s three courses, and indulge yourself in Sun Valley’s 18-hole putting course.
