Blaine County Sheriff Morgan Ballis will take part in a Community Town Hall looking at the role of the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office in working with ICE on Tuesday.

The Town Hall will start at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, at Hailey Town Center West on 116 S. River St.

It will examine the Sheriff’s role in working with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Homeland Security Investigations.

The Town Hall is being sponsored by the Blaine County Democrats, and all are invited. There will be an opportunity for questions.

ICE is currently detaining 59,000 people nationwide—nearly half without criminal records, according to organizers.
