The public is invited to cheer on John McEnroe and other tennis and pickleball legends on Sunday, Aug. 3.
The Legends Pro-Am Tournament, hosted by The Valley Club, is free to the public. It will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. at The Valley Club and will feature McEnroe and others tennis legends playing with those who win a chance to play with them during bidding at Saturday night’s Legends Dinner & Exhibition.
McEnroe and others are taking part in the second annual MSCL Legends Pickleball Weekend, which is being held through Sunday at The Valley Club north of Hailey.
The event is a fundraiser for Men’s Second Chance Living, which provides transitional living accommodations at two men’s sober living facilities in Hailey with multiple support groups, educational opportunities and more to help men on the road to recovery.
The multiple-day event includes clinics with the pros, an MSCL Pro-Am Tournament and a Legends Dinner & Exhibition where guests will enjoy signature cocktails while watching Tennis Legends play pickleball.
McEnroe was a good sport during last year’s tourney, even pretending to throw a hissy fit for the crowd’s enjoyment.
In addition to the Legends Pro-Am Tournament, the public is invited to watch the Sun Valley Pickleball Invitational Finals from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at The Valley Club. The finals will feature many of the top pickleball pross in the country competing for prize money and bragging rights.
