SUN’s airline flight schedule for the 2026 summer and fall season includes nonstop flights to six cities.

The flight schedule will offer nonstop flights and from Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, and Salt Lake City, with new daily flights to Chicago, more flights to Seattle and extended service to Los Angeles, San Francisco and Denver, according to Fly Sun Valley Alliance in partnership with Sun Valley Resort and Friedman Memorial Airport.

United Airlines will continue its daily year-round nonstop Denver (DEN) flights, with a second daily flight added from May 21 to October 24.

United’s nonstop Chicago (ORD) flights will run twice weekly from June 5 through 20, increasing to daily flights from June 25 to August 17 and five times weekly August 20 to September 20.

United’s nonstop Los Angeles (LAX) flight will run four times weekly from May 21 to June 22, increasing to one to two daily flights from June 24 to September 23 and then four times weekly from September 24 to October 22.

United’s nonstop San Francisco (SFO) flights will run daily May 21 to September 7, six times weekly from September 8 to 27 and five times weekly from September 28 to October 24.

Alaska Airlines has increased its summer schedule significantly and is now operating year-round. The airline will operate two weekly flights from May 1 to 10, five weekly flights from May 14 to June 8, increasing to daily flights - with two daily flights during peak periods - from June 10 to October 31.

Delta Air Lines’ year-round service will continue with three daily nonstop Salt Lake City (SLC) flights.

“We are excited to see United’s Chicago flights expand to daily this summer, along with the increase in Alaska’s Seattle service and more flights on other routes from May through October,” said Carol Waller, the Fly Sun Valley Alliance director. “This expanded flight schedule directly benefits our local community which relies on strong and convenient air service.”

The new American Airlines flights to Phoenix and Chicago and the Alaska Airlines flight to San Diego that began in the 2025/26 winter season are expected to resume next winter, Waller said.

The overall SUN scheduled seat capacity for the 2026 summer/fall season, which runs May through October, is up 12 percent over 2025.
