George Berridge creates financial roadmaps, offering clients a step-by-step process that shows them how they can achieve long-term goals using investments at a risk level they are comfortable with.

Beyond helping clients grow and protect their wealth, he helps them with tax efficiency, wealth transfer, philanthropic decisions, retirement planning, insurance planning and other decisions.

He recently opened a Blue Sands Wealth office in Ketchum to provide a place he can meet clients face to face. And he’ll hold a Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting at the office at160 Second St. from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 24.

There will be light bites and beverages, and Berridge will be joined by Letitia Berbaum, who founded the Irvine, Calif.-based Blue Sands Wealth.

Berridge parlays 30 years’ experience working for such institutions as Citibank, Deutsche Bank and Nuveen Investments into Blue Sands Wealth. He even worked locally for Wells Fargo.

He lives by the motto: Simplicity, clarity and adaptability.

The simpler and more flexible your plan when it comes to your business plan or your personal finances, the better, he said.

Simplicity and clarity can be helpful when it comes to investing in the stock market, he said.

“When you shop Costco, what do you buy? Cereal, which is owned by Kelloggs. Toothpaste, which is owned by Proctor and Gamble. So, you buy shares in those companies because others are buying cereal and toothpaste, too.”

Berridge and his family were based in the Bay area before they bought a home in Sun Valley, where his brother Eric has lived for decades.

“The first time we came to Sun Valley, we loved it. And, as it got harder to get to Tahoe, we came more and more for skiing and summer activities for the boys. Our two sons are thriving here—they can spend weekend on mountain with friends. And the schools are so good.”

Blue Sands is not beholden to corporate initiatives or focused on making money like so many businesses in the corporate financial world so Berridge is free to come up with what he thinks is the perfect solution for each client.

Blue Sands’ advisory services are offered by Investment Advisory Representatives of RFG Advisory, LLC., which supports local independent models.

“We’re backed by their money, their models. And we get to be with people. People want local boots on the ground, and we want to give people peace of mind so they can relax. Watching financial investments plans is a fulltime job. Markets change and evolve and things like the Big Beautiful Bill bring tax changes. We stay on top of those things for our clients. I feel I’m successful if my clients are successful.”
