And on Wednesday Sun Valley audiences will get a chance to hear it when he performs at Ketchum Town Square.

Gibson will perform from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, at Ketchum Town Square. The concert, part of the Ketchum Town Square Music Series, is free.

Gibson, who recently established a parttime home in Elkhorn, hails from a ranching family. And he’s an old family friend with the Purdys in Picabo, their friendship forged when he began coming to Sun Valley years ago.

He and his wife Callie also still maintain a home in Arkansas where Worth’s wife works in stem cell research.

His single “Cowboy” has become a high-energy anthem that celebrates the untamed cowboy spirit and traditions of ranching families.

“There has never been a better moment for this song, with the western genre captivating audiences worldwide,” according to Worth. “Modern television westerns have sparked a renewed fascination with Western culture and style. Growing up in a family with deep ranching roots, the song represents the closest I will come to writing an autobiography of the first half of my life.”

Gibson draws inspiration from his family’s multigenerational roots in farming, writing introspective stories set to timeless melodies.

Those songs reflect, he says, the highs, the lows, and everything in between that shape us as individuals: “Songwriting is a creative outlet that allows me to explore my relationships, experiences, and emotions. Songwriting is more than just creating music; it is a form of therapy."

Gibson released five singles during 2025. He has performed at the Limelight Hotel, Apple’s Bar and Grill and at private parties, in additional to other intimate singer-songwriter venues across Idaho, Montana and Wyoming.
