STORY AND PHOTO BY KAREN BOSSICK

The City of Ketchum will cut the ribbon on a micro-expansion to the Guy Coles Skate Park at noon Thursday, June 2. The park is located at Saddle and Warm Springs roads.

Members of the community helped fund the project with donations to the Guy Coles Skate Park Trust Fund, and the Board Bin and Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation chipped in, as well.

Tal Roberts donated his time to get the project rolling and the city’s Facilities Maintenance team and contractor Jesse McDowell performed concrete work on the project creating both the feature  enhancement and performing erosion prevention.

Big Wood Landscape capped the project by donating and planting a tree.
