If you’ve ever sat on a giraffe or a rhino at Rainforest Café, you have sat on a stool made by Bellevue wood carver Glenn Carter. Carter carved more than 3,000 barstools for the café’s restaurants, along with carousel figurines and other whimsical pieces.
Carter will open his studio on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 18 and 19, as part of the Artists’ Studio Tour of the Wood River Valley. Forty artists will open their studios to the public on those days, and visiting just eight studios qualifies you for a drawing. Meet Glenn in today’s Eye on Sun Valley video and learn more about the tour at www.artiststudiotour.com.
