The Spot introduced the new Spot Slot Wednesday evening during Producer’s Night.

The Spot Slot next door to the theater in Ketchum’s light industrial area offers a place for small parties like Producer’s Night, as well as a meeting room and locker space.

“It’s transformative with a touch of gritty sophistication,” said Spot board member Susan Flynt. “We gave it a paint job to lighten it up and a contemporary flair.”

Members of The Spot broke it in for a small party for supporters prior to the dress rehearsal for the new  “Wolf Play” running through April 28.

In keeping with the play’s theme, Spot board member Penny Weiss concocted a bountiful spread that included lamb chops, renamed wolf chops, and pigs and figs in a blanket—another favorite wolf food dating back to “The Three Little Pigs.”

Fellow board member Mindy Meads created bouquets of colorful Wolf Pops—cake on sticks—and iced sugar cookies created with caramel sauce and other unusual ingredients iced with the silhouette of wolves.

“It’s a very interesting play, and the acting is fabulous,” said Mike Wade, who was present at the Producer’s Night dress rehearsal. “The play takes a bit to figure it out, then you put it together. I came away feeling that I am blessed to have the family I do.”
