The Wood River Farmers’ Market is moving indoors for the winter for the second year in a row.
The Farmers’ Market will be staged from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays through Dec. 21, with the exception of Nov. 30, in the Upper Big Wood River Grange Hall, 609 3rd Ave. S., in Hailey. The Grange is next to the fire department and just down the street from the Senior Connection.
Among those hawking their produce and wares are Agrarian Harvest, Brick Oven Bakery, Dolce Cabana, Itty Bitty Farm, Lava Lake Lamb, Mountain Treats, and Purely Popped. And next week shoppers will be able to avail themselves of locally produced sake.
Products available this week include bread, carrots, canned and pickled foods, dry beans, chicken, kale, dog treats, pumpkins, eggs, potatoes, lamb, popcorn, pork, skin care products, tomatoes, pies, pastries, cookies and winter squash
“It’s a small but lovely little market in the Grange building so it’s cozy,” said Kathleen Bean, co-owner of Lava Lake Lamb. “As the holidays approach, we are hoping people will support their local farmers and have some good local food as part of their celebratory meals and gatherings.”
