Eighty-nine cross-country skiers ranging in age from five to 83 took part in the 2025 Snowmaker Classic Cross Country Ski Race hosted by the Sun Valley Education Foundation Saturday.
The classic ski races took place on a windy morning on the Lake Creek Trails with many SVSEF ski racers turning out for it.
Skiers chose from six distances: 10 kilometers, 5K, 3K, 2K, 1K and .5K, according to Coach Kelley Yeates.
Overall winners were Nick Gardiner in the 10K; Tait Boshen in the 5K, Augie Allaire in the 3K, Hazel Schmidt in the 2K, Emil Beatty in the 1K and Grace Boccabella in the .5K.

Next up for the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation racers is the first Junior National Qualifier at Soldier hollow near Park City, Utah on Jan 17 and 18. Locally, the SVSEF will sponsor the Town Sprints in Ketchum on Jan. 30 ahead of the Boulder Mountain Tour on Feb. 1.
