Learn about local river advocacy and how land use decisions affecting the Big Wood River and its trout are made tonight at The Argyros.

The Hemingway Chapter of Trout Unlimited will host the free presentation from 5 to 7 p.m. tonight—Wednesday, April 8—at The Argyros.

It will be led by Kristine Hilt, Policy and Program Advisor with Project Big Wood, and Emily Brooks, City/Resilience Planner with the City of Hailey and a Hemingway TU Board Member.

They will address such questions as:

Who is in charge of the river?

What can happen in the floodplain and what can’t?

Do public comments really matter?

How do I keep track of everything happening that affects our rivers?

This is Trout Unlimited’s final presentation of the winter season, as it’s assumed everyone will have gone fishing by the time the next one would have rolled around.
