Learn the latest plans for the Days of the Old West Fourth of July Celebration in Hailey at tonight’s Business After Hours.
Tonight’s BAH will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. tonight—Thursday, June 22—at the Welcome Center next to the rodeo grounds in Hailey.
Co-hosted by Christopher & Co., it will feature food and drinks provided by KB’s Burritos, Wood River Sustainability Center and Sun Valley Brewery.
Chamber Director Jeff Bacon will talk about the new campaign with the airport to encourage visitors to drive straight across Highway 75 from the airport to the Welcome Center, essentially using the Welcome Chamber as their concierge.
They also need volunteers for the Fourth of July Parade.
“We have 2 and a half staff members and that’s not enough to put a parade on,” he said.
This year’s Fourth activities will include a new Bloody Mary Challenge, as well as a Tutus and Tennis Shoes 5K fun run and walk. The event was instigated by Daryl Fauth and his affiliation with Sun Valley Ballet.
The race starts at 9 a.m. on July 4 in front of the Meriwether Building on Hailey’s North First Avenue. Register at www.tutusandtennisshoes5k.com.
