The Sawtooth Botanical Garden will hold a free wildflower walk from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 1 in Greenhorn Gulch.
The popular recreation site between Hailey and Ketchum is sporting a bounty of wildflowers right now, including sticky geranium, lupine, wyethia, scarlet gilia, mariposa lily and the beautiful pure white bitterroot.
Most of the hollyhock are a little more than a week from blooming.
The walk will be led by flower experts John Shelly, a retired Forest Service employee and Hailey botanist Lisa Horton.
It is sponsored by the Sawtooth Botanical Garden and Idaho Native Plant Society.
The walk is considered easy to moderate. Dog lovers are asked to leave Fido at home, even if he has a nose for flowers.
