It could be a curious groundbreaking ceremony, considering the old building is still in place.
But—yes—a ground breaking ceremony for the Argyros Performing Arts Center will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. today—Friday, July 7—at the nexStage Theatre.
The event is designed to honor the end of a chapter in the culture life of the community and welcome a new one.
The actual ceremony and remarks will be held at 2:30 p.m.
Attendees are asked to enter the theater form the Leadville Avenue since constructions barriers are in place in the front of the building.
