100 Men Who Care are gearing up for another year of giving.
The grassroots philanthropic group will kick off their sixth year on Tuesday, Jan. 9. The group will meet from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Sawtooth Botanical Garden.
100 Men meet once every three months for an hour to tout nonprofits that are doing good works and select one to give a cash gift to. Each man donates $100 per meeting.
Men do not have to be present to participate. They can simply mail a check for $100 to Marty Lyon, the founder, at 106 Red Cloud Way, Hailey, ID 83333.
“It’s all about giving and, by giving, making our community and local nonprofits stronger,” said Lyon.
Last year 100 Men gave gifts of $32,200, with the last gift made to The Advocates’ Skills for Success program. Since its inception, 100 Men have given $106,950.
