AJ Balukoff, who plans to run for governor in 2018, will hold a Meet & Greet at 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, at the Sawtooth Brewery, 631 Warm Springs Road in Ketchum.
Anthony Joseph Balukoff, a Boise businessman and Boise school board member, came within 15 percentage points of Gov. Butch Otter in the 2014 election.
Balukoff made health care and education the focal point of his campaign then. And he says not a lot has changed in the four years since that election.
HICKEN LOOPER COMING
Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper will be the keynote speaker at the 24th annual Frank & Bethine Church Gala on March 10 in Boise.
Hickenlooper, a former geologist and entrepreneur, recently published his memoir, “The Opposite of Woe: My Life in Beer and Politics.” Since taking office in 2011, he has strived to make Colorado the most pro-business state in the union with the highest environmental and ethical standards.
