Celebrate the end of Dollar Live! with Dollar Dayz Pond Skim.
Skiers and boarders are invited to don their funniest most colorful costume, slap on their boards and ski down Dollar Mountain across the pond created by the Sun Valley Ski Patrol.
Pond skimming starts at noon. Registration is free and opens at 9 a.m.
An outdoor barbecue, Sierra Nevada tent, live music, prizes for participants and giveaways will add to the celebration as Dollar Mountain wraps up the 2017-18 season.
Bald Mountain will be open through Sunday, April 15, with special lift ticket pricing, lodging specials, and live music on Warm Springs Plaza from DJN8, Life During Wartime, the Emily Stanton Band, costumes, food and drink specials.
Life During Wartime will play from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 14, and the Emily Stanton Band will have the honor of closing out the season from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, April 15.
Even though the mountain is in the best shape it’s been all season, all good things must come to an end.
Seattle Ridge will close on Sunday April 1, along with Dollar Mountain. And the River Run side of Baldy will close on Sunday April 8. The Christmas lift will run allowing skiers access to Christmas Bowl, Ridge, Blue Grouse and Cutoff.
The Hawaiian Nationals hosted by Sun Valley Tele will brighten the mountain with Hawaiian skirts and leis on April 7 beginning at 9 a.m. on the Warm Springs side of the mountain.
