Learn new ways to cut an onion, as well as unique ways of cooking waffles, when Chef Joyce Doughty visits Sun Valley.
Doughty, who has hosted the nationally syndicated daily Public Radio food program “Food for Thought” for 17 years, will speak at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at Ketchum’s Community Library.
Doughty recently published her first book, “The Chef Within: The Breakfast Edition.” The book serves up some of her favorite breakfast recipes, such as potato knishes.
It teaches the fundamentals of cooking, while encouraging cooks to think creatively freeing themselves from the constraints of a recipe.
She will be discussing her first cookbook now in print, and Joyce promises some tasty tidbits to sample.
Joyce says she plans to combine lunch and dinner in her next cookbook of her “The Chef Within” series.
Owner and chef of Doughty’s Bistro in downtown Boise, Chef Doughty was trained at Le Cordon Bleu and received her executive chef certification from the American Culinary Federation.
