Learn about the high cost of addiction to digital devices for children and teens during a pre-release screening of a new documentary Thursday night.
The movie, “Generation Zapped,” will be shown free of charge at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 31, at Ketchum’s Limelight Hotel. It will be followed by a question and answer.
The documentary talks about the potential health risks that prolonged exposure to electromagnetic fields of radiation caused by wireless radiation might cause and suggests ways to reduce exposure.
According to the film, some researchers believe there are links to such diseases as breast and brain cancer, increased infertility, genetic mutations related to autism and ADHD and a newly developed illness called Electrical Hyper-Sensitivity.
Children and teens are especially susceptible to radiation from baby monitors, tablets, cell phones and wireless routers in the classroom, the documentary asserts.
The showing is being hosted by the Syringa Mountaan School and GIA Wellness, in addition to the Limelight Hotel.
