“Gone with the Wind” gets a remake with 90-year-old Al Heath and Bertie Heath, his wife of 67 years.
And Tom Cruise will the farthest thing from your mind when you see 98-year-old Tommy Farr and 93-year-old Bill Brand in their “Top Gun” uniforms in the new Senior Connection calendar.
The calendar was unveiled Thursday night at The Senior Connection’s annual Fashions and Wine Show. And it immediately elicited squeals of delight from those who had the opportunity to check it out.
The calendar was the brainchild of Penny Weiss, who lured a number of seniors to The Senior Connection one day last October with a promise of her famous White Chicken Chili and cornbread.
She dressed them up in outfits resembling famous movie scenes, had Britanny Pieschi apply some makeup, then put them before a green screen in front of photographer Floyd Padilla.
The calendar is $20 and will be for sale at Tuesday’s Festival of Trees gala event at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, at The Mint.
“It’s also available at the Senior Connection in Hailey.
Proceeds will go to the Senior Connection.
