Local birding expert Poo Wright-Pulliam will lead a bird watching venture at Silver Creek Preserve on Saturday.
The outing will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26. It will start at the Nature Conservancy’s Silver Creek Preserve Visitor’s Center where Pulliam will offer an introduction to the preserve and local birds.
Participants will then head out on a walk around the preserve, a draw for a variety of winter birds, to identify winter birds, which include various eagles, swans, grouse and ducks.
It might be handy to have a pair of snowshoes. Bring water, lunch and warm clothes, as well.
There is a suggested donation of $10 for members of the Environmental Resource Center, which is sponsoring the hike. There is a suggested donation of $20 for non-members.
Would-be birdwatchers should pre-register at 208-726-4333 or alisa@ercsv.org.
The final ERC Winter Bird Walk of the season with Poo Wright-Pulliam will meet at the Hailey Public Library at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 2. Birders will then spend until about 1:30 p.m. spotting and learning about the birds of Hailey.
