The median sales price of homes in Blaine County was down for the month of January but the number of homes sold was up.

The Sun Valley Board of REALTORS Association released a monthly real estate market update for Blaine County on Monday. Each data report was provided by the association’s multiple listing service.

For the month of January 2019:

  • The overall median sales price ended at $420,000, down1.2 percent year over year.
  • The number of homes sold was 33, up 22.2 percent year over year.
  • The number of days on market were 159, down 4 percent year over year.
  • The number of for-sale properties is 321, down 11 percent year over year.

The increase in homes sold points towards a continuation of market growth, following a strong 2018, said Grace Summers, Sun Valley REALTORS CEO.

“Our goal is to provide the community with accurate information for their home-buying decisions,” added Ned Burns, Sun Valley Board of REALTORS president. “The Blaine County economy and housing market are very different from a decade ago and we recognize the value of delivering these monthly reports to our community.”
