The Sawtooth Botanical Garden will offer interpretive tours by request beginning Saturday, June 8.
Interpretive tours will be led by the garden’s AmeriCorps assistant educator Kim Chaplin. She has a vast knowledge of the garden’s native and cultivated plants, as well as the Garden of Infinite Compassion, which showcases a Tibetan prayer wheel personally blessed by the 14th Dalai Lama during his visit to Sun Valley in 2005.
Organized group tours by request are free, although donations are encouraged.
The Sawtooth Botanical Garden is now charging admission--$5 for adults or $10 for a couple or family. Kids 12 and under will be admitted free. Garden members or those attending a class, workshop or event will be admitted free.
The garden is the region’s own public botanical garden, is located four miles south of Ketchum at Gimlet Road and Highway 75.
