The Idaho Falls Jazz House Big Band will headline the last free Jazz in the Park concert of the season from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 28, at Rotary Park.
The park is located at Warm Springs and Saddle roads in Ketchum. Music lovers are encouraged to bring low back chairs and picnics.
The band features 18 musicians plus singers, and they’ll be performing favorite tunes from the Big Band era.
On Tuesday the Gene Evaro Band out of Joshua Tree, Calif., will perform soul, folk, funk and electronic music at the free Ketch’em Alive concert. Evaro and his four-piece band, which includes a bass player, drummer and two vocalists, have recorded three albums, including the 2018 album “Like Its 1965.”
They’ve performed at a variety of festivals, including the High Sierra Music Festival and Joshua Tree Music Festival. Included in their mix are songs by Paul Simon, Sly & The Family Stone and Bill Withers.
The concert will run from 7 to 9 p.m. at Ketchum’s Forest Service Park, First and Washington streets. Food vendors will have food and drink for sale on Washington Street.
