Sun Valley’s about to get a new road.
Workers will begin conducting significant excavation on Monday, Sept. 27, for the site preparation and construction of the new Sun Peak Circle in the White Clouds Subdivision. The project will add 12 new single family lots to the area.
Sun Peak Circle will be located off Sun Peak Drive.
A large quantity of the dirt will be put to use as it will be excavated and hauled to Dollar Mountain to regrade several ski runs.
Dirt-hauling trucks will follow Trail Creek Road to Dollar Road to Elkhorn Road.
The excavation and hauling is expected to take several weeks, said Maya Lewis, associate planner for the City of Sun Valley. Flaggers will direct and control truck traffic entering the right of way at both sites and construction vehicle speed limits will be reduced in the White Clouds for the duration of the project.
